Petzl MACCHU — Adjustable Kids’ Climbing Harness (Under 40 kg)

The Petzl MACCHU is designed for young climbers who are ready to get on the wall with gear that fits properly and grows with them. Fully adjustable and incredibly comfy, it’s made to support kids as they build skills, confidence, and a love of climbing.

With soft padding on the waistbelt and leg loops, it’s comfortable to hang in during practice sessions. The wide adjustment range means it fits well year after year, and you can even pair it with the BODY shoulder straps to create a full-body harness for smaller or newer climbers.

Thoughtful details - like colour-coded tie-in points and kid-sized gear loops - make it easy for little climbers to learn safe habits while feeling just like the grown-ups.

  - Adaptable with the growth of your child, with a wide range of adjustability
  - DOUBLEBACK waistbelt and leg loop buckles allow quick adjustment to your child’s size and seasonal clothing
  - Adding the BODY shoulder straps creates a full-body harness for learning how to climb on top rope

  - The lack of through stitching minimizes chafe and friction zones in the waistbelt
  
• Same features as an adult harness:
  - Two tie-in points and a brightly coloured belay loop allow a quick visual check to confirm the belay device is properly attached

  - Rear accessory loop for attaching a chalk bag
  - Detachable rear leg loop elastic bands

Note: For children with less-defined hips, the harness must be paired with the BODY comfort shoulder straps to prevent flipping over in the event of a fall.
